Whether you are planning a date night, Galentine's celebtration, or just plain want some doughnuts, this is the recipe for you. It's easy and made out of simple ingredients. Step by step pictures included!
Ingredients
2/3 cup Dutch Process or Dark Chocolate Cocoa
1 & 3/4 cups Lindley Mills Organic All Purpose Flour
1 & 1/4 cups of brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp instant coffee (optional)
3/4 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips
2 large eggs
3/4 cup + 1 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp vinegar (white or cider)
1/2 cup melted butter
Icing
1 cup chocolate chips
4 tbsp milk
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit.
Step 1: Mix first 8 dry ingredients together: cocoa, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, bak
ing soda, salt, espresso powder, and chocolate chips.
Step 2: Mix wet ingredients together in a seperate container: eggs, milk, vanilla, vinegar.
Step 3: Mix butter, dry ingredients, and wet ingredients until combined. Pour batter into a gallon sized ziploc bag and snip off the end.
Step 4: Spray a donut pan with cooking spray and pipe use the ziploc to easily pipe batter onto the pan, filling up the indentations at least 2/3 full.
Step 5: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Step 6: Once all doughnuts are completely cool heat chocolate chips and milk for icing until the milk begins to bubble. Stir until smooth and then dip doughnuts into the icing or spread it over the top of the doughnuts. Makes 12-15 doughnuts.
Step 7: Serve them to your friends and loved ones and enjoy!!
